About the Presentation:
Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson. A name as well-known around the world as Christopher Columbus, Napoleon or even the President of the United States. How did this fame come to pass? Every leader must have a mixture of both arrogance and humility. Nelson certainly did. But these characteristics must be in balance. Nelson tended to show his humble, almost spiritual side in private or in close company for all his heroism. In public, he often became the quintessential “Master Thespian,” playing the hero’s role to the hilt! We’ll explore the enigma that was Nelson – his life and the legends that surrounded him, the ships he sailed in, the conflicts and the battles lost and gained, the men in his life, and the women! And we’ll analyze and critique the final battle that won him global acclaim, Trafalgar.
